We are excited to introduce the new My Active Leader Journal – a personalised A5 ring-binder journal designed to support children throughout The Active Leaders Club Skills Training and as they begin leading activities of their own.
Packed with practical activities, skills guidance, achievement tracking and creative planning tools, the journal helps children build confidence, develop leadership skills and put their learning into practice.
The journal is divided into five key sections, each supporting a different part of the Active Leader experience.
ActiveFile Section
The ActiveFile section gives each Active Leader space to complete their profile, make their Active Leader Pledge, celebrate weekly awards and collect proud Active Cam moments.
Achievement Tracking Section
Leaders complete practical tasks, record their achievements and collect 15 stickers as their skills are built. It is a simple, motivating way to celebrate progress and recognise the leadership skills they are putting into practice.
Skills Briefing Knowledge Cards Section
The Skills Briefing Knowledge Cards section provides quick tips and practical guidance on Active Leader roles, S.P.A.C.E. planning, officiating, first aid awareness and making activities inclusive. These easy-to-use cards give children useful reminders to help them prepare, adapt, organise and lead activities with confidence.
Ready, Set, Lead! Section
The Ready, Set, Lead! section includes over 30 ready-to-go active games, challenges and activities. It features active warm-ups, fair team builders, quick-start games, personal best challenges and guidance for leading football, cricket, dodgeball and rounders. These resources give Active Leaders plenty of opportunities to practise explaining rules, motivating others and keeping activities fair, active and inclusive.
Game Creation Toolkit Section
The Game Creation Toolkit section helps Active Leaders move from following activities to creating and leading their own. It includes templates for designing warm-ups, active games, personal best challenges and fair team builders, alongside equipment lists, safety checklists, results trackers, sports scoresheets and an activity evaluation tool.

Each Premier Registration includes a journal personalised with the child’s name, 14 achievement stickers, a personalised Active Leader ID badge and lanyard and a Skills Training Certificate of Completion.
