    Leadership

One of the most powerful parts of The Active Leaders Club happens before the first game is even led. As part of the club, children don’t just take on a role – they apply for it.

We provide clear, child-friendly job descriptions and application forms for both Active Leaders and Head Active Leaders, giving children the chance to think about responsibility, teamwork and what kind of leader they want to be.

When children complete their applications, their answers are honest, thoughtful and often brilliant. Here’s just a few of our favourites:

Why would you like to be an Active Leader?
  • I would enjoy this job because I like making fun games and playing with little children. I am sporty, organised, fair and creative.
I want to be an Active Leader because some children don’t feel encouraged enough to do sports so I want to make sure they feel encouraged so they feel games are fun.
I want to be an active leader in my school because I really like helping people when they need it. I enjoy looking after younger kids and making sure they feel happy and safe. I think having extra responsibility would be exciting because it shows I can be trusted and it gives me a chance to show my best self. I also like making my teachers proud by working hard and setting a good example for others. Being a leader would let me do all of those things while also helping our school be a kind, fun and respectful place.
